14. Wearing masks 🎭
I often thought I was different from others. Secretly believing that no one could understand me. I tried to fit into a crowd of friends but I still felt alone. I was wearing a mask they couldn’t see past, that mask was my ego.
Now I know with certainty that alcoholics & addicts are different from normal people. Now I appreciate that everyone is unique. We all add value, all of us think differently, yet we still contribute to the greater good of all things.
There is a higher plan for us. I have faith that I can now act on that plan through my daily actions. I have the commitment to see things through, and an unshakable belief of gratitude. 🙏
Gratitude of the day: Today I’m thankful my higher power has blessed me with gifts and the strength to share them.
Action of the day: Today I will make a list of things I’m good at. Then I’ll think of ways those gifts can serve others, and serve the greater good.
